One of the most strategic ways to grow your business is to dedicate time, energy, and resources to hiring the right people. When you find individuals who are committed, motivated and talented – and create space for them to grow within your organization – the opportunities to scale your business are endless.
But, where to start? Finding the talent unicorns always begin with one thing: a job description that captivates the right people, at the right time. The job spec is the gateway into your organization. As with any first impression, it’s a make-or-break moment. It doesn’t matter if your business is thriving, and the job opening is a dream job; if you’re not capturing the Talent’s attention and tugging at their heartstrings with your job spec, you might lose them – and their talent — in an instant.
In our job benchmarking session, we will focus on three key areas to ensure your next best hire loves you as much as you’ll love them. My brand writer and I will focus on the following three key areas:
1. Job Benchmarking Session. As Teresa Adams is leading and facilitating the job benchmarking session, capturing key phrases, information, and key accountabilities to get to the heart of who you need to fulfill this role.
2. Key Accountabilities. Within 3-4 days our brand writer will produce a robust description of key accountabilities. These accountabilities will detail, in full, what will make a candidate successful in this role. The client will sign off, and these accountabilities will become the foundation of the job spec.
3. Job Spec. Using the key accountabilities and insights from the job benchmarking session, a dynamic and compelling job spec will be created. This will be no ordinary job spec. Our draft will stand out immensely because it will showcase the heart and soul of your organization, offering a glimpse into your culture, your people, your business story, and your values. We know we’re successful when we receive an enthusiastic response from the right talent.
